India and Canada are now observing a relationship which is slowly but surely deteriorating and there are certain events which are escalating the chain of events. Now, the Khalistani activities in the region of Canada is indeed creating certain discomforts.
According to sources in Canada, a planned rally organized by pro-Khalistani protesters outside the Indian Consulate in Vancouver was unsuccessful on Monday, as only approximately 25 individuals attended the demonstration.
The rally, scheduled for Monday at 12 noon outside the consulate, aimed to voice their grievances against India regarding the murder of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Now during the protest, it was observed that some protesters are tearing the Indian flag which is absolutely shameful not only on a global standpoint but in terms of origin as well. Some also didn’t limit themselves in tearing the flag, some burned India’s national flag in a garbage can outside the Indian Consulate.
As of now, Canada is pretty much silent on the issue amidst the sour relation is building slowly. Protesters expressed their deep concern over Nijjar’s tragic death, characterizing it as an “assassination.” They earnestly called for a public inquiry into the case, a sentiment shared in various regions of Canada, including Toronto.
