On the 23rd of August, Chandrayaan-3 successfully soft landed on the lunar South pole and India became the first country to have achieved this. A wave of joy and pride has swept the nation of 1.4 billion people. Some people are expressing their feelings on social media and some of these are so hilarious that you can’t miss them.
Some X users posted photos showing how Chandrayaan-3 united the whole country which is divided by religion, caste, language. It showed people from different religions praying for the success of Chandrayaan-3.
People were also quick at making deductions. The Chandrayaan-2 mission, launched in 2019, came close to success but lost control and signal at the last phases. In the same year India lost the Cricket World Cup getting as far as the semi finals. Now they’re speculating that the world cup would be ours this year because of what ISRO has achieved.
Some internet users also trolled the media for its coverage of the event. They posted photos of Chandrayaan-3 accidentally hitting news reporters already present on the moon.
Even ISRO itself posted on Instagram a photo of the lander and the orbiter with reference to the Netflix show ‘Sex Education’. The success of the mission has resulted in a joyous environment and people are using their creativity to celebrate it in the best way possible.
