Suriya, who has already had blockbuster success with Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru, has walked out of their second collaboration, titled Purananooru. There were lots of rumours that had gone around social media about Suriya’s decision, such as call sheet issues for Suriya as he has joined hands for a trilingual film, Karnan.
Some of the popular media have also mentioned that there is a misunderstanding between Suriya and Sudha, and Suriya has been asked to change some political views of the stories. Later, there was a rumour that the film had been shelved and Sudha was going to direct a new movie starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead.
Sometimes there isn’t any talk about Purananooru from any source, but recently there was a buzz that Dhanush, who has listened to the story of Purananooru, has shown a positive intent and wants to act in this film. Already, Dhanush has an exciting line-up for the coming years, such as Raayan, the pan-Indian movie Kubera, and Ilayaraja’s Biopic.
Some sources were reporting that Dhanush was going to lead the role, but some of the trackers were mentioning that Sivakarthikeyan was also interested in playing the lead role in Purananooru. In the same case, there was a rumour that Sudha was going to direct a film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role.
As there were lots and lots of speculations about Sudha Kongara’s Purananooru, nothing has been finalised, and there isn’t any official news. Movie buffs have to wait some time to know officially who is going to be acting in the lead role of the critically acclaimed Sudha Kongara’s Purananooru.
