A shocking incident was reported in Hyderabad where a seven year old boy suffered burn injuries due to alleged harsh punishment by his tuition teacher. The incident occurred under the Film Nagar police limits. The child, a Class 1 student, had gone to the teacher’s residence for tuition.
According to the parents, the teacher became angry over the child’s studies. She allegedly heated a ladle and pressed it against the boy’s body. This caused multiple burn injuries and required immediate medical treatment. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
Similar incidents have been reported from different places in the past. Despite strict laws to protect children, such acts continue to surface. A Class 1 child is extremely young and vulnerable. Subjecting a child to such cruelty is unacceptable.
