A 23-year-old software employee from Hyderabad, identified as Anki Bhanuprakash, has been arrested for assaulting his girlfriend after she refused his sexual advances.
Bhanuprakash, who works at a private firm in Hyderabad and hails from Moosapet, Mahbubnagar, had been in a relationship with a woman from Somajiguda after promising to marry her.
According to police reports, Bhanuprakash went to her flat, argued with her, and then attacked her. He allegedly cut her cheeks with a pair of scissors, throttled her, and physically assaulted her before threatening to pour acid on her if she filed a complaint.
Following the victim’s complaint, police arrested Bhanuprakash and started an investigation.
