Love can take you to treacherous paths. The mystery of the unknown is attractive but in some cases it can prove to be extremely dangerous as well. The love adventure of a young boxer from India turned into a tragedy after she decided to meet her online friend in Nigeria. The boxer from Guwahati took a flight from Bangalore to Lagos on the 28th of October. Upon reaching Nigeria, her visa and passport were snatched and she was held captive.
The victim was introduced to a Nigerian person by her husband six months before, after which they grew closer by chatting and video calling. They had decided to meet in Nigeria after that. The family had no idea about the whereabouts of the woman for the first 3 days as she made no contact. On the fourth day she managed to call her family and told them about her condition.
The family is trying to seek help from the government and want them to get involved so that safe return of the woman can be ensured. An FIR has also been filed at the Dispur Police Station.
The suspect in the case is a man named King. It is alleged that he stopped the woman from boarding her return flight. The case is being seen as kidnapping and all efforts are being made for the safe return of the woman.
