Popular handle Forbes has released it’s list of women of the year and it is a matter of great pride for the nation of 4 Indian women have made the auspicious list.

The Forbes’ list of the world’s most powerful women, which also features personalities like Taylor Swift and US Vice President Kamala Harris, mentioned three Indian businesswomen along with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who secured the highest position amongst the four. The women have made the nation proud by not only breaking cealings but also showing the diversity the nation offers.

While Nirmala Sitharaman was on the 32nd spot on the Forbes list, the other three Indians were – HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra (rank 60), Steel Authority of India chairperson Soma Mondal (rank 70), and Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (rank 76).

This event highlights the rise of India as a nation and how the women are starting to become the backbone of the nation. Sitharaman was also crowned as the most powerful woman in the Nation from Fortune.

Forbes Women editor, Maggie McGrath said stated that over the past twenty years of the Most Powerful Women list, they’ve documented the shifting ways that power is attained and enacted globally. She further added that this year’s list illustrates that perhaps better than any other, with entertainment icons ranking right at the top alongside global politicians and leaders of the world’s most influential businesses.
