Machine Breaks Down Counting Black Money!

Odisha-Distillery-IT-Raid

Many of us have dreamt of being rich enough that we never had to even check the accounts. The dream of having ‘uncountable’ money seems childish but there are people who have managed to realize this and not in the most legal ways. Raids conducted by the IT department have led to recovery of cash worth more than ₹200 crore.

These raids are currently being conducted against a distillery based in Odisha. The income tax department deployed around three dozen machines to count the notes. The amount recovered is so big that some of the money counting machines broke down.

The cash recovered is in excess of ₹200 crore and the counting is still going on. It is believed that the final recovery could be more than ₹250 crore. The raid is being conducted in Balangir district of Odisha.

Some of the recovery has been made at other locations connected to the group. These include Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Ranchi, Bokaro and Kolkata. It is alleged that the distillery had connections with one of the MPs of the Congress party.
