A birthday celebration in Mumbai turned into a serious incident. Five boys asked their friend to join them for cake cutting. They first threw eggs at him as a joke, which upset him but he stayed with them thinking it would stop there.
Without warning, they took petrol from a scooter and poured it on him. One boy then used a lighter, and fire spread across his clothes in seconds. He ran in panic as people nearby rushed to help.
He was taken to the hospital with severe burns. Doctors are treating him and monitoring his condition. The incident has shocked the neighbourhood and the family is heartbroken.
Police arrested the five boys and are checking whether it was a planned act or irresponsible behaviour. The family says this was not a prank but a cruel attack. The case shows how a careless act can put a life at risk and leave lasting damage.
