Mumbai Police said they will take action against the celebrities after Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma were seen sitting on the pillion seats of motorcycles to avoid traffic, and images of the pair went viral.
In a social media post on Monday morning, Amitabh Bachchan said that he relied on a stranger riding a bike to get to work on time. Anushka decided to commute by bike in the evening after discovering that a downed tree blocked a route to the dubbing studio she was visiting.
Many social media users contacted the Mumbai Police to take action after seeing the images of the two actors riding the bikes go viral. The Mumbai Police said they noted the steps in response to a select user. They tweeted in response to two individuals, saying, “We have shared this with the traffic branch.”
According to the Motor Vehicle Act, pillion riders must also wear helmets for their own protection. Rulebreakers will face the consequences.
Amitabh posted a photo earlier in the day with the caption, “Thank you for the ride, buddy. I don’t know you.. but you obliged and got me on time to the location of work.. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams.. thank you, capped, shorts, and yellowed T-shirt owner.” Anushka was seen in a viral video sitting on the pillion seat without a helmet.
With their different projects, both actors have been very busy. Anushka is finishing up her portion of Chakda Xpress, her comeback movie, in post-production. In her biography, the actress will be portrayed by Jhulan Goswami.
On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone will soon be seen in Project K. In addition to this, he is now developing Section 84 and Ganapathy with Tiger Shroff. He will appear in the Hindi version of The Intern as well. Big B is all set to return with a new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati on television as well.
