Thugs often employ a fictional plot to win the trust of the people who they wish to rob. In this case of robbery from Chennai, a plot of land served as the bait. A duo who posed as NRIs ran away with 9 gold jewelleries and a bike from a 39 year old real estate agent. The police are on the lookout for them.
It all started when the real estate agent listed a property for sale. A man identifying as Sriram contacted her and later met her in Chennai. A woman who claimed to be her daughter was also there in the meeting. Later the daughter called the real estate agent and asked her to take her to a parlor to discuss the land deal further.
This is where the real intention of the duo came to light. The real estate agent and her daughter handed all their jewelry to the woman before getting a facial. The woman was nowhere to find afterwards. She had run away with the jewelry and a two wheeler owned by the real estate agent.
Following this a police complaint was filed against the duo at Sastri Nagar police station. The police have started a search operation for the duo.
