If reports are to be believed, here unsuspecting men in Pune are being lured by women into upscale restaurants and nightclubs. And what are they left with? shockingly inflated bills.

The scam is almost like a cinematic fantasy, where a man sits at a bar, only to be approached by an attractive stranger. But in real life, it’s turning into a trap.
According to reports, women initiate friendly conversations, compliment the man, and suggest dinner or drinks. Once inside a restaurant, she orders premium alcohol and expensive food. The man is flattered and obliges, only for the woman to vanish mid-date.

Most often, the women leave citing reasons for using the restroom.
When the man attempts to investigate or leave, bouncers enforce payment. Of course, that leaves the person with no choice but to settle a bill that runs into several thousands. These incidents are reportedly part of a larger extortion racket operating in major metros. And now, Pune is the latest target for these groups of criminals.
Victims are now speaking out and demanding action. However, the authorities still urge people to stay vigilant and avoid falling for such easy traps.
