This is one shocking story among many that go unnoticed or never see the light. A brave woman in Bengaluru exposed a Rapido bike driver’s atrocious behaviour towards her.
She shared on Twitter that after facing multiple cancellations for booking an auto, she decided to book the bike ride instead. To her surprise, the driver arrived on a different bike, claiming the registered one was under servicing.
During the journey, they reached a remote area with no other vehicles around. Shockingly, the driver began riding with one hand and engaging in inappropriate behaviour (masturbating while riding the bike). Fearful for her safety, she remained silent throughout the ordeal.
She asked him to drop her 200 meters before her actual destination to conceal her home location. After the ride, he started relentlessly calling and messaging her on WhatsApp. This prompted her to expose him on social media.
Bengaluru City Police swiftly reacted, registering an FIR, and the Rapido bike driver has been arrested.
Kudos to this brave woman for exposing him, creating fear, and putting an end to such incidents to some extent. After seeing her story, other women started sharing their own, which are equally shocking and saddening to read.
