In a deeply disturbing incident from Mumbai, two minor boys were allegedly sexually assaulted by four men after their family failed to repay a small loan. The accused also recorded the act on video.
The case came to light when the mother of one victim lodged a police complaint. One of the boys has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The second victim is recovering at home.
Initial investigation revealed that the family had borrowed a small sum from one of the accused. When the repayment was delayed, the boys were allegedly lured to a secluded location and forced into oral sex. The accused are said to be known to the family.
Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. All four accused are currently absconding. A manhunt has been launched to trace them.
A senior police officer stated, This is a serious and sensitive case involving minors. We are making it a top priority.
Child rights activists have condemned the crime and urged authorities to ensure swift justice. They also raised concerns about the rising instances of such abuses being recorded and potentially shared.
Counseling support is being provided to the victims. Officials have appealed to the public to report any suspicion of child abuse immediately, emphasizing the role of community vigilance in preventing such crimes.
