College fests offer the perfect opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talents in the most unique way. The terms we usually associate with these fests are fun and creativity. However, there’s a fine line between having fun and being disrespectful to someone. A video is going viral on the internet in which young people can be seen depicting the dating life of Deepika Padukone. While they seem to have enjoyed it, it has sparked an outrage on the internet.
The viral video claims to be from one of the renowned universities of India, BHU. But there is no evidence or confirmation suggesting the validity of the claim which makes it highly unlikely that the incident took place in BHU. Numerous users at X found this act extremely shameful. To enact a person’s life, making fun of their personal relationships is clearly not entertainment but character assassination.
The location of the event is not known yet. Universities are deemed to be progressive places and are supposed to offer a safe space for anyone. This kind of moral policing by the students themselves is shameful and needs to be condemned.
