Misha Agrawal, a popular social media influencer and founder of a cosmetics brand, died by suicide just two days before her 25th birthday. Her family confirmed the news and linked her death to mental health struggles, reportedly tied to a decline in her social media following.
Misha had over 3.5 lakh followers at the time of her passing and was known for promoting haircare and beauty content through her brand, Mish Cosmetics.

Her sister shared an emotional message online, revealing that Misha had placed a screenshot of her follower count as her phone wallpaper.
“She built her world around Instagram,” she wrote. The family said they tried to remind her of her other accomplishments, including a law degree, but she found it difficult to detach her self-worth from her online presence.

The public, however, is divided over the reasons behind her death. Some users on social media expressed disbelief, suggesting that the real cause might be something more personal and unrelated to follower counts. One user questioned whether this explanation was a convenient cover to keep deeper issues private.
Others speculated about possible relationship troubles, while some doubted whether social media loss alone could drive someone to such a step.

Yet, voices of empathy also surfaced. One user said suicide is not just a personal issue but a reflection of broader social stress. Another admitted they hoped the story wasn’t true, perhaps because the thought itself is too painful.
As speculation grows, one thing remains certain—Misha’s death has opened up serious questions about the pressure of online validation and the emotional cost of building a life around it.
