The legal troubles of Hyderabad’s self-styled “Gold Man,” Surya Bhai, are growing worse. The Attapur police have registered a Zero FIR against him after a man accused him of a ₹32 lakh fraud.
On top of that, the police are filing another case against him for wasting their time with a completely fake complaint.
According to Attapur Inspector Nageshwara Rao, a victim named Chari filed a complaint stating that Surya Bhai took ₹32 lakh from him. Surya Bhai had promised to supply gold ornaments in return but never delivered them.
Because the incident happened under a different police area, the Attapur police filed a temporary Zero FIR and handed the case over to the Narayanguda police to investigate.
Surya Bhai is also being booked for lying to the police. He had previously filed a complaint at the Attapur station, but a detailed inquiry proved his claims were entirely made up.
The police are now registering a case against him for filing a false complaint. Inspector Nageshwara Rao confirmed that while Surya Bhai has not been arrested yet, the Narayanguda police are actively handling the cheating investigation.
This Is not the first time Surya Bhai has been exposed. He recently came under intense scrutiny from the Income Tax Department for showing off massive amounts of heavy gold jewelry on social media.
When investigators checked the jewelry while looking into another case, they discovered a shocking truth: almost all of it was fake. The oversized chains and ornaments were actually made of cheap base metals with a simple gold coating.
