Pictures of a Chinese convenience store are going viral on the internet. But, why? It is because it wants you to climb mountains to reach it.
Located in the Shiniuzhai National Geological Park, Hunan province, this inconveniently located shop opened in 2018. It hangs from the cliff at a height of 120 metres (393 feet). The wooden box provides refreshments to the climbers in the middle of their ascent.
Netizens have been left speechless by the pictures of the shop wondering how one gets access to it. A user wrote, “This is just crazy and incredible at the same time.” Another user, jokingly, wrote, “I think there must be climbers who dropped their wallets off the cliff while shopping here.”
The shop workers are professional rock climbers and the supplies are transported via a special rope conveyer. Only one worker is allowed inside the box at any time, as per reports.
