Viral Video: Boy Dragged to Hospital in Scrap Cart

Viral Video Raebareli

A shocking video from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, has gone viral, showing the poor condition of emergency services in the state. In the video, an 11-year-old boy is seen pulling a scrap cart, carrying his injured elder brother to the hospital because no ambulance arrived after repeated calls.

The incident happened in Hasanpur village of Unchahar area. The 13-year-old boy had fallen from a wall and was seriously hurt. His family called for an ambulance many times, but no help came.

Left with no other option, the younger brother placed him on a cart usually used by their father, who collects scrap, and pulled it all the way to the hospital. A woman, likely a family member, walked behind the cart and helped push it.

The video has led to public anger. People are questioning how such basic health services can fail so badly. It also shows how poor families are left on their own during emergencies.

Dr. Manoj Shukla, in charge of the Community Health Centre, said the injured boy is now being treated. But the video has once again raised serious concerns about the healthcare system in Uttar Pradesh.

Even though the government often claims to have improved health facilities, the reality on the ground is different. For many poor people in villages, even getting an ambulance on time is a big challenge.
