Got WFH From Company? Get Ready For Layoff!

Meta layoffs and WFH fears

It is already known that several companies globally have resorted to layoff procedures in order to size down on the human workforce. Many of these companies are aligning with AI advancements and related technologies.

Even massive companies like Meta which own social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are letting go of their human capital at large.

Since earlier in the morning today, Meta has been rolling out of emails to nearly 10% of their global workforce. This roughly converts to around 7000 employees globally who are losing their jobs since the start of the date.

The interesting observation here is that this massive social media platform has been sending work from home notices to the employees and once they are settled down, they’re receiving mails about layoffs.

This could be considered a clever strategy from the company to avoid employees gathering at the office spaces and panicking after getting fired. So the company has started a deceptive plane of confining employees to homes and then firing them through mails and calls.

This has now resulted in a global panic situation where employees are absolutely devastated when they are receiving work from home mails from their companies. They are suspecting that their companies could be firing them in the guise of work from home.

With several thousands of jobs being lost each week globally due to this sizing down operations which’s a result of AI boom, things aren’t looking very promising for the human workforce at large.
