Woman Scammed 20 Lakhs For Canada VISA!

20 Lakhs For Canada VISA

Two women from Chandigarh have filed a complaint against the managing director of an immigration firm for allegedly cheating them of Rs 20 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Canada on work visas. The accused, identified as Rajesh Kumar, runs the firm Global Immigration Services in Sector 34.

According to the complainants, they had approached the firm in 2020 and paid Rs 10 lakh each as processing fee for their visas. They were assured that they would get their visas within six months.

However, even after two years, they did not receive any confirmation from the firm. When they tried to contact Rajesh Kumar, he stopped answering their calls and messages. They also found out that the firm had shifted its office without informing them.

This is not the first time that such a scam has come to light. Many people fall prey to fraudulent immigration agents who promise them lucrative jobs and visas abroad, but end up duping them of their hard-earned money.

Immigration is a dream for many people who want to explore new opportunities and horizons abroad. However, it should not be pursued at the cost of one’s safety and dignity. By being aware, alert, and responsible, one can avoid falling victim to such scams and achieve one’s goals legally and ethically.
