An influencer famous by the username @theindianchick_ has been going viral with her recent reel where she highlighted the difference between India and abroad.
She shared the fact that many people ask her why she leaves India on the first go whenever there is time for vacation and not choose some local site to visit rather than going abroad.
She stated that the level of freedom that women have in western countries is much greater than India that is why she loves to go on a vacation there. She made this reel while she was on an empty beach abroad with no one around and she had bicycled her way alone.
She shared that she has a greater sense of freedom as no one stares at her, or catcalls her. Being treated with respect boosts her confidence to travel alone which is difficult for women in India.
Many women used this opportunity to talk about this issue and share their struggle in travelling alone in India.
