YouTube India announced the lineup for its fan fest 2023, which will feature some of the popular and emerging creators and artists from various genres. However, many netizens were unhappy with the selection of the performers, and expressed their disappointment on Twitter.
They felt that YouTube India had ignored the established and popular creators who have a large and loyal fan base, and instead opted for some new and unknown faces who have less appeal and quality.
They also felt that the fan fest standard had decreased over the years, and compared it with the previous editions of the event, when they had witnessed some memorable and spectacular performances. However, some people were also supportive and appreciative of YouTube India’s decision to give a chance to some rising creators and artists who have shown potential and promise in their respective fields.
The fan fest will be held on September 27 in Mumbai, and will celebrate YouTube’s 15th anniversary in India. The tickets for the live event are available for free on BookMyShow.
