People of Kolkata seem especially angry at this decision, as Eden Gardens was set to host the finals before this last-minute debauchery.
This rage is intensified by the fact that the BCCI has not utilised this gem of a stadium to its potential. Eden has not seen a single test match being hosted on its grounds for 6 years.
