Virat Kohli's Obscene Act Towards Shreyas Iyer

The Indian Premier League is in full swing, with players trying to give their best performances to get an upper hand on their opponents in the game.

While emotions getting high is natural and expected on-field, players are often unable to refrain themselves, resulting in some form of punishment from the BCCI.

But such punishments and penalties can only be called fair if they apply equally to each player, irrespective of their status.

While players like Harshit Rana get banned for their relatively harmless ‘flying kiss’ celebration, Virat Kohli seems to have the ability to get away with anything he does on-field, even if it’s severely inappropriate.

Virat was seen making obscene and vulgar gestures towards Shreyas Iyer after RCB won the match against PBKS.

Even though Virat and Shreyas share a bond of friendship, one has to ask — is it okay for the BCCI to turn a blind eye towards incidents involving Kohli while showing their muscle to small players who haven’t made it to the same level as Virat?

With a part of the public now showing their objection against such blatant partiality, it will be interesting to see whether the sleeping BCCI decides to finally wake up, doing the right thing it should have done long back.
