Serious allegations have surfaced against IPL cricketer Shashank Singh and his father, retired IPS officer Shailesh Singh, after their cook filed a police complaint. The case has drawn attention following the registration of an FIR in Bhopal.
According to the complaint, 31-year-old Vipendra Singh Tomar joined the family as a cook but wanted to leave after just one day. He alleged that the work environment was abusive and the workload was excessive. He also claimed that his mobile phone was taken away and that he was forced to continue working against his will.
Vipendra Singh Tomar further alleged that when he attempted to leave, he was assaulted by Shashank Singh, Shailesh Singh and others. He claimed he was beaten with hands, shoes and sticks. The complaint states that visible injuries were later confirmed during a medical examination.
The complainant also alleged that he was asked to pay ₹1,000 for the food he consumed during his three-day stay before he was allowed to leave. These allegations form part of the complaint submitted to the police.
Based on the complaint, Ratibad Police in Bhopal registered an FIR against Shashank Singh, Shailesh Singh and their driver. The case is currently under investigation, and the accused have not yet responded to the allegations.
