Nishadh Yusuf

Under shocking and tragic circumstances, noted Malayalam editor Nishadh Yusuf was found dead at his home in Kochi last night. The reason behind his death is yet to be known. He was 43 years old.

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) confirmed the news on social media. It was reported that Nishadh Yusuf’s body was found dead at his apartment in the Panampilly Nagar area in Kochi.

Nishadh Yusuf hailed from the Haripad town in Kerala. He made his debut with the 2019 film Unda, which featured Mammootty in the lead role. He shot to fame with the 2022 action comedy, Thallumaala. He was praised for his innovative editing in the movie. He also received Kerala State Award for Best Editing for this movie.

Nishadh’s other works include Operation Java, Kannalan, Saudi Vellakka, Exit, and Adios Amigo. He was also the editor for Roshan Kanakala’s 2023 film Bubblegum, which was directed by Ravikanth Perupu.

Nishad recently worked for the pan-India film Kanguva, which is slated for release on November 14. It is tragic to see him passing away just two weeks before the film’s release.




Many industry celebrities and fans were shocked to hear about Nishadh’s death and are expressing condolences to the grieving family.
