Suriya has pinned high hopes on Kanguva, aiming for pan-India success. He has done a fair job promoting the film across different languages, with the latest event held in Mumbai.
However, Suriya arrived very late to the press meet, keeping several journalists waiting.
One visibly annoyed Mumbai journalist confronted Suriya directly, asking him, “What time is it now? How long will you make us wait?” while raising his voice and showing his watch (video below).
The people around Suriya tried to calm down the angry journalist.
Later, Suriya apologized from the stage, requesting forgiveness for his late arrival and asking for continued support and love from the media.
Kanguva is set to release in India on Thursday, with U.S. premieres on Wednesday at 6 PM EST.
