Lubber Pandhu, starring Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh, this movie was directed by Debutant Tamizharasan Pachamuthu and was released in theatres on September 20th and has become a tremendous success as the audiences who watched this movie were showering with positive responses.
While the second half of Kollywood was filled with many biggies and the audiences were expected for these biggies, Lubber Pandhu came out of nowhere and is doing well in the box office collections.

On the other hand, on the same September 20th, Hip Hop Tamizha’s Kadaisi Ulaga Por was released, and many were expecting that movie as the trailer and the songs of this movie acquired positive responses from the audiences.
However, Kadaisi Ulaga Por did not fulfill the expectations of the audience due to the poor screenplay. Instead of this, Lubber Pandhu has become a huge success. Many popular directors, such as Vetri Maaran and Pa Ranjith, who watched this movie, have given positive responses to it; this has become a pushing factor for the audiences to go to theatres.

This is a good sign for the Kollywood industry, as apart from Biggies, small-budget movies becoming a hit is important for many reasons, as it opens up a new market for emerging actors and also a big boost for the production houses to produce content-oriented small budget movies.
