Actor Prashanth, who was last seen as the lead in the Bollywood movie Andhadhun’s remake, Andhagan, is now reportedly planning to remake a recent hit Telugu movie.
According to a strong buzz, Prashanth is planning to remake the recent blockbuster Court: State vs A Nobody, with producer Kathiresan’s son Krithik and actress Devayani’s daughter Iniya in crucial roles. The director of the movie has not yet been confirmed.
Following this buzz, some netizens have started to raise questions about whether a remake of a hit movie is necessary in this OTT era. They feel it’s unnecessary, as many people, with the exposure provided by OTT platforms, are watching successful films from other languages after positive word-of-mouth spreads.
Some people are even advising actor Prashanth to choose original scripts and not solely concentrate on remaking successful movies from other languages.
However, there haven’t been any official updates on this, and it remains to be seen whether Court: State vs A Nobody will be remade in Tamil with Prashanth in the lead in the future.
