Vijay Sethupathi’s son, Surya Sethupathi’s debut movie, Phoenix, was released in theaters yesterday and has received mixed responses from audiences and critics.

In this scenario, a popular reviewer on X shared her review that although the movie is a satisfying watch for action lovers, the villain characters in the movie are just caricatures.

Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who also acted in an antagonist role in Phoenix, replied on X to the reviewer, which has now gone viral across social media.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar replied to the reviewer that, “Act and show me how to be a caricature, because even to be that, you need to act. So, thanks, and very sweet of you.”

Following her reply to the reviewer, many netizens responded that nowadays, reviewers are crossing their limits.




Even if actors’ performances are bad in the movies, they should respond formally and should not mock them with unapologetic words, and Varalaxmi has given a “thug” reply to the reviewer.
