Many people after watching the movie have mentioned that despite Ajith Kumar’s acting, the flat screenplay and the poor execution are the major drawbacks in the movie, and almost the second half is dipped in many places.
Also, some netizens even thrashed Magizh Thirumeni and commented that all his previous movies were classics, and even his last movie, which is Kalaga Thalaivan, despite mixed responses, has a unique narration, but Vidaamuyarchi is a lethargic attempt from the director.

Now, in a recent interview, Magizh Thirumeni has opened up that Vidaamuyarchi is not his 100% film, as the major inputs for the movie came from the Ajith Kumar side, and it’s a collaborative attempt.
After this, the Kollywood audiences were shocked and reacted that it looked like Magizh Thirumeni was escaping from criticism by portraying Ajith Kumar is the major reason for the Vidaamuyarchi’s flaws.

However, Vidaamuyarchi has almost crashed at the Tamil Nadu box office, as yesterday many districts in Tamil Nadu were given a local holiday for the Thaipusam festival; still, on the festival day, only around 34.35K tickets were booked on the Book My Show portal for the movie.
Also, many centers have replaced Vidaamuyarchi with Manikandan’s Kudumbasthan, which was released on 24th January.
Despite these setbacks, it remains to be seen whether the movie will regain momentum in the coming weeks. Given Ajith Kumar’s star power, there may still be some room for recovery, but the overall response from both critics and audiences suggests a challenging road ahead for Vidaamuyarchi. Only time will tell whether the film can find its footing or fade into obscurity like many others before it.
