Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, directed by Shankar, was initially planned as a single movie, but due to the long runtime, the team decided to release it in two parts.
Indian 2 was released in theatres on July 12th last year and ended with a trailer as a lead for Indian Part 3. However, Indian 2 ended as a colossal disaster and became a troll fest among netizens.
Earlier buzz suggested that the Indian 3 movie was going to be released directly on the Netflix OTT platform, and only a few days of patchwork remained to be shot. Once Lyca Productions pays the salary for Shankar and Kamal Haasan, the remaining shooting of the movie will be completed and released.
However, now there is strong speculation that Lyca has opted out of Indian 3 due to the terrible loss incurred from Indian 2. Now, Red Giant Movies is planning to take over the Indian 3 project and has already started talks to complete the patchwork of Indian 3 with Shankar and Kamal Haasan, aiming for an early release.
But even though Lyca has opted out, they will be given credit in the movie as they have spent a huge budget on the making of Indian 3, and only 10% of the shooting is pending.
As of now, nothing has been confirmed yet, and there still aren’t any proper updates on this. Let us see whether the remaining portions of Indian 3 will be completed and whether the movie will be released in the future.
