Infosys Requests Land For Permanent Campus: Vizag

Infosys Vizag permanent campus plan

Indian tech major Infosys is likely to set up a permanent campus in Vizag. The company has requested the Andhra Pradesh government to allot 20 acres of land at Yendada Hill. The proposal is currently under consideration.

Yendada is emerging as a prime zone near upcoming IT and residential hubs. A final decision on the land allotment is expected by the end of January. If approved, it could significantly strengthen Vizag’s IT ecosystem.

The proposed campus location is along the old stretch of NH-16. It is close to the international cricket stadium in Madhurawada. Infosys has also submitted reports seeking infrastructure support for the project.

The Andhra Pradesh government is reportedly considering allotting the land at Rs 0.99 per acre. Similar terms were earlier extended to TCS and Cognizant. This move could attract more IT investments to the region.

Infosys executives inspected two locations at Yendada and Pardesipalem. Among the options, Yendada appears to be the preferred choice. The scenic surroundings played a key role in this preference.

At present, Infosys operates a temporary campus from a rented facility in the Rushikonda IT area. A permanent campus at Yendada could boost nearby residential development. Its proximity to the beach adds further appeal.
