Samsung has received 2.1 lakh pre-orders in just 48 hours for its latest foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE—in India.
This number is nearly the same as what the company saw for its Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, showing steady interest in premium smartphones in the Indian market.
The new devices are part of Samsung’s seventh-generation foldables.
Prices start at ₹89,000 for the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and go up to ₹2.11 lakh for the Galaxy Z Fold7.
All models are made in India and come with improved designs and AI-powered features, aiming to offer both portability and functionality for multitasking and productivity.
Samsung says the strong early demand is partly due to younger Indian consumers being quick to adopt new technology.
The Galaxy Z Fold7, for example, is thinner and lighter than previous versions, weighing just 215 grams and featuring enhanced hardware and software.
While these foldables are positioned in the ultra-premium segment—competing with brands like Apple—the early sales suggest that Indian customers are becoming more open to foldable smartphones.
The high number of pre-orders also supports Samsung’s broader push to make foldables more mainstream in one of the world’s largest smartphone markets.
