Upon arrival, staff insisted the bag must be checked in. The traveller calmly explained that the same bag had flown in the cabin multiple times. However, an employee allegedly responded sarcastically and suggested the passenger must have sneaked it onboard before.

Staff Remarks Trigger Backlash

The situation escalated as staff continued speaking dismissively. One employee reportedly said, “You do your part next time and we’ll do ours.” Even as the traveller tried to walk away, an employee allegedly kept shouting.

Passenger Vows Not to Return

The flyer left feeling frustrated and disrespected, ultimately deciding never to fly with Southwest again. They believe the airline’s new baggage policy and rude behaviour are damaging its reputation as a friendly and affordable carrier.
