The traveller had booked a flight from Kolkata to Mumbai for 29th October through Flipkart. Upon checking the SpiceJet website, the flight appeared as cancelled, prompting the passenger to contact Flipkart Travels for clarification.

Conflicting Claims Between SpiceJet and Flipkart

Flipkart confirmed that the flight was marked as cancelled in SpiceJet’s system and initiated a refund. However, both SpiceJet and Flipkart later deducted full cancellation charges, claiming the passenger had voluntarily cancelled the ticket.

Flight Disappears from Booking Portals

SpiceJet denied any cancellation from their side, while Flipkart maintained that the issue rested with the airline. Shockingly, the same flight has now disappeared from SpiceJet’s website and other travel portals, making verification impossible.

Communication Gaps and No Resolution

The passenger did not receive any cancellation email due to an error in the registered email address and had relied solely on the airline’s website for updates. Multiple follow-up emails to SpiceJet have gone unanswered, leaving the issue unresolved.
