A Vietjet Air passenger has expressed frustration over the airline’s poor refund process after their pre-booked flight was cancelled weeks after purchase. The ticket was booked through Vietjet’s official website, and the passenger chose a refund to the original payment method instead of credit shell value.
Refund Not Processed Even After 30 Days
More than a month later, the refund amount has still not been credited. The passenger said multiple attempts to contact Vietjet’s customer support in India were unsuccessful, as official phone numbers were either unreachable or inactive.
Confusing and Contradictory Responses
After calling Vietjet’s sales offices in Bengaluru and Delhi, the traveller was informed that the refund could only be issued as a credit shell, contradicting the initial communication. The passenger described the airline’s handling as misleading and inconsistent, saying they felt deceived and helpless throughout the process.
Legal Action Being Considered
Due to the lack of transparency and accountability, the traveller said they were considering legal action against the airline. The incident raises serious concerns about Vietjet’s customer service standards and consumer rights compliance in India.
