A gruesome murder has shocked Dallas, claiming the life of an Indian-origin manager in front of his family. The horrific crime unfolded this week inside a budget motel, leaving the community in deep shock.
Chilling Incident Captured on Video
A disturbing video from Wednesday shows a man chasing 50-year-old Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah with a machete. The attacker caught up with him outside the motel and beheaded him, while the victim’s wife and son screamed in terror.
Victim’s Background
Chandra, originally from Karnataka, had been managing the Downtown Suites motel on Samuell Boulevard for several years. On the morning of September 12, he reportedly got into a heated dispute with his employee, 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez. The argument escalated, leading to the Cuban man brutally murdering Chandra in broad daylight.
Shocking Aftermath
In a disturbing act of cruelty, Martinez was seen kicking the severed head into a parking lot before throwing it into a dumpster. He showed no signs of remorse during the attack.
Arrest and Response
Martinez was arrested just minutes later, still holding the bloodied machete. He was immediately taken into custody.
The Indian Embassy in the United States has stepped in to provide consular assistance and help with arrangements for Chandra’s remains. Officials assured the community that authorities are supporting the grieving family after this traumatic event.
