An H-1B aspirant shared how he failed to land a visa sponsorship despite getting multiple job offers in the US. This is the nightmare hundreds of international workers are facing in Trump’s America.
One person went through full rounds of interviews and almost got selected with the company even asking about the start date. However, once the H-1B talks happened the employee was met with the dreaded email, “We’ve changed our policy. No visa sponsorship for now.”
He shared that recruiters still reach out, 2 to 3 a day. But the moment H1B is mentioned they go silent or ghost him.
One of the recruiters even admitted that most companies just don’t want to deal with visa transfers anymore. This is an uncertain time and no one knows how much more insane Trump would get in his crackdown against immigrants.
Therefore, companies are playing it safe, which in turn is ruining the dreams of thousands of H1B workers. Indians who have a major contribution to US workspaces are in a vulnerable position with many threatened by layoffs at any moment.
