Authorities have confirmed the death of an Indian national following Iran’s attack on Saudi Arabia on March 18. The incident has raised concerns as tensions continue to escalate across the region.
The Embassy of India in Riyadh shared the update on X, calling it a tragic incident. It assured full support to the family and stated that officials are in contact with local authorities to coordinate assistance.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs also confirmed the development. It said efforts are underway to bring the mortal remains back home at the earliest. Officials are closely monitoring the situation.
At least six Indians have died in separate incidents across West Asia so far, while one person remains missing. The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran shows no signs of slowing down.
Authorities have advised Indian citizens to stay alert and avoid travel to sensitive areas. The identity of the deceased and specific details of the attack have not yet been disclosed by the Embassy.
The government has stated that all possible help is being extended to those stranded in the war-affected region. Concerns remain high as the conflict enters its fourth week since the initial attacks on February 28.
