Many users on X called it a mark of respect for the culture she belongs to. She herself shared the video on her social media. Shivani is a devout Hindu and has organized and been part of many Hindu events in Leicester.

At a time when many rejected Rishi Sunak for his identity, she ascertained her proudly and has been true to herself. Many Britishers find it objectionable but it is merely laughable because the country that preaches secularism seems afraid of their representative’s religious learnings.
