Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka is now getting a second chance through its OTT release. The film, which released in theatres on November 27, 2025, failed to perform well at the box office despite receiving fairly positive reviews. The film needed to collect a worldwide gross of around Rs. 50 crores, but it could only manage around Rs. 25 crores and emerged as an unexpected disaster. Many felt it deserved better support from audiences during its theatrical run.
Netflix has officially announced that Andhra King Taluka will start streaming from December 25. The film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, giving it a much wider reach than it had in theatres.
Directed by Mahesh Babu P, the film revolves around a die hard fan who is ready to go to any extent to protect his hero’s dignity. Upendra and Bhagyashri Borse play important roles. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
After its theatrical failure, social media was filled with posts claiming the Telugu film industry failed once again despite delivering a good film, with trends like #TFIFailedHere. Several posts also predicted that Andhra King Taluka would find its true audience on OTT. Viewers may eventually regret missing it in theatres once it starts streaming.
