The latest episode of Bigg Boss House featured an angry host, Nagarjuna. For the first time in Bigg Boss history, three contestants were given yellow cards, meaning they received a final warning; if they repeat their mistakes, they will be thrown out of the house. But the show organizers and host Nagarjuna acted harshly towards Rohith, as usual, and did not warn the others as strongly.
The show began with celebrities and contestants from Agni Pariksha. In every season, the host is always partial towards celebrities, and whenever there is a situation to reprimand the contestants, the approach is always different for celebrities and commoners. The same is happening this season from the first week. Every week, Thrigun, Mukesh, Ram Prasad, Debjani, and Rohith commit a bunch of mistakes. But the way the host gives a class to Rohith is different from the way he gives feedback to others.
All of a sudden, the show organizers played a video to the audience, claiming it was an exclusive clip in which Rohith used an objectionable word towards a fellow housemate; when he said Rohith would be given a red card, he made a gesture that indirectly demeans Bigg Boss. In reality, fellow housemate Charan clarified that Rohith’s intention was not directed at Bigg Boss but at him. So, the BB organizers cleverly led the audience to think Rohith committed a mistake. When asked, everyone in the audience felt that Rohith made a mistake. Even though Rohith tried to clarify his intent and said it was a miscommunication, Nagarjuna kept grilling him, ensuring he admitted it was a mistake. The way Nagarjuna spoke to Rohith was very harsh.
On the other hand, Thrigun used more objectionable words and made many demeaning gestures. Mukesh used demeaning words against women. In one of the earlier episodes, the celebrities made comments directly on the Agni Pariksha show, calling it a waste show. Varshini told Thrigun that they should hit the commoners with chappals. Nagarjuna and the Bigg Boss team have completely turned a blind eye to these issues. Even in today’s episode, Nagarjuna’s approach towards Thrigun and Mukesh is very soft.
Rohith is one of the best picks of Abhijeeth, who is considered to be one of the best contestants of the Bigg Boss TV show. In the fourth season, in one episode, the BB team made Abhijeeth admit to a mistake he hadn’t committed, and it was misinterpreted. The same has now happened with Rohith this season.
Rohith is definitely at fault with some aspects of his game. He should have maintained his composure also. But the way it should be addressed is not convincing and raises doubts about the Bigg Boss team showing favoritism. We have to see if Rohith bounces back.
