Netflix’s upcoming series Dabba Cartel has gotten the audience quite excited.

The trailer for the awaited series was released and it looks amazing.

The trailer opens with a group of middle-class women discussing their dabba service. However, under the facade of their normal business, something dangerous is happening.

They make two types of tiffins, one with normal food and the other with drugs.

Their operation soon takes a dark turn as they get entangled in a deadly pharma scam.

The trailer gives a glimpse into the chaos and problems that enter their lives.

At the end of the trailer, Jyotika’s character says, “Toh yeh hai tumhara Narcos Thane? (So this is your Narcos Thane?),” making a clever reference to the famous drug-themed Netflix series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico.

With a strong cast, gripping screenplay, and powerful background music, Dabba Cartel has all the ingredients for a hit. But will it resonate with the OTT audience?

A similar show, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, released on Hotstar in 2023, also centred around women running a drug cartel, in a much different setting.

While it was well-received by those who watched it, it failed to reach a wider audience due to limited word-of-mouth buzz.

Will Dabba Cartel face a similar fate?

Being released on Netflix, the show does have an upper hand in reaching a larger audience, but its success will depend on whether viewers enjoy it enough to spread the word.

As the release date approaches, all eyes are on whether Dabba Cartel will live up to the hype.
