Jitendra Kumar seems to be gradually taking the spotlight from Ayushmann Khurrana, who has carved a niche for himself with light, cheerful movies conveying social messages. With an upcoming film titled “Dry Day,” Jitendra, aka Jeetu Bhaiya, aims to follow a similar path.
Prime Video, also set to release Jitendra’s “Panchayat,” presents another movie with a social message, a breezy social comedy featuring Jitendra, Shefali Shah, and Anu Kapoor in lead roles.
In the poster released today, Jitendra and Shriya are seen campaigning for a liquor ban, with people in the background holding placards displaying slogans against liquor consumption. The movie, premiering directly on OTT, doesn’t face the pressure of box office success; its fate rests on the craftsmanship of the film and its ability to engage the audience.
Trailer of Dry Day is yet to be released. Directed by Saurabh Shukla, this social satire will premiere on December 22nd exclusively on Prime Video.
