Prime Video’s Hidden Flaw: OTT Audience Frustrated

Prime Video Hindi dubs request

Fans are urging Prime Video to add Hindi dubs to several regional classics, pointing out what they feel is a major gap in the OTT platform’s otherwise impressive collection. Amazon Prime Video is home to many award winning films and shows, offering a variety of content that appeals to different audiences.

Although the platform has faced criticism in recent times for irregular advertisement plans and rental issues, its choice of content has rarely been questioned. Viewers consistently appreciate the quality of entertainment, making it one of the most popular OTT services in India.

Prime Video features acclaimed shows like Farzi, Panchayat, Paatal Lok, along with notable films such as Anbe Sivan, Shahid and Thalapathi. However, many viewers feel left out because a large part of its collection consists of regional films and shows that do not have Hindi dubs.

Audiences say that even though they enjoy compelling plots and performances regardless of language, Hindi dubs would make the content more accessible. Many have taken to social media to highlight this need, hoping the platform will bridge the language gap.

Some well known titles including Raatchasan, Jallikattu and 3BHK are available only in their original regional languages, leaving many Hindi speaking viewers unable to fully enjoy them. Fans believe that if Prime Video dubbed such classics in Hindi, it would attract a much larger audience and strengthen its popularity across the country. Whether the platform will respond to these requests remains to be seen.
