From being undeniable to practicality being undesired, this mood is enough to help us understand people’s opinions regarding the new Martin Scorsese creation “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Though the film seemed anticipated from the very beginning, it is far from reflecting that in the box office numbers.
The underwhelming tale of it in the box office continues as the film just grossed $4.6M during its fourth week. It also observed a 34% drop in terms of ticket sales—underwhelming indeed but not having a bad drop.
In terms of the lifetime collection, the viewers are indeed bringing a shake to the Scorsese masterpiece as it is far from covering its $200M budget. As of now, this film has only covered $137M worldwide.
Though the domestic audience tried to revive it, the numbers are far from good. Just in the US market, it grossed around $59.9M. The numbers are truly underwhelming as the film also fails to stand out in terms of finances.
It is also going through a lot of tough competition, and most of them are ‘appealing’ to the masses. In putting films such as Five Nights At Freddy’s to The Marvels, in terms of quality, they are nowhere near the KOTFM, but as they’re appealing to a mass audience, the films are observing a humongous rise in the BO numbers.
