Ever since Jio Cinema and Disney+Hotstar came together to form Jio Hotstar, people have not been very happy about the many problems that the merger has brought.
There are more ads, less binge-worthy contents, more glitches and they have made the streaming experience worse. And now it looks like even the video quality is downgraded after the merger.

People have complained on social media that the quality seems to be stopped at 1080p even with good connection and speed. While Disney+Hotstar used to show Marvel movies with an immaculate quality and Dolby audio, Jio Hotstar is failing to do so.
@JioHotstar post migration the videos does not seem to be transcoded properly, a lot of Marvel movies glitch when you watch them in 1080p with 100 mbps connection. It spoils the experience while watching it.

Lacking in good originals is one thing but being unable to stream even the licensed contents in the expected original quality is not at all commendable. Fans deserve to watch these movies and shows at their best quality and the platform should provide this opportunity.
Otherwise, there will not be many things that will keep subscribers chained to Jio Hotstar. Just like people are going away to Netflix after SonyLIV’s inability to stream WWE flawlessly, the same thing can happen to Jio Hotstar as well.
