Pa Ranjith, one of the most prominent directors and producers in Kollywood, has not yet announced his next project as a director after the failure of Thangalaan, but he is now planning a unique collaboration as a producer.
According to strong buzz, Pa Ranjith is planning to produce a women-centric web series starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. However, the director for this project has not yet been finalized.
Janhvi Kapoor has a huge fan base in Kollywood, and during the Devara movie’s Tamil promotion event, her speech in Tamil earned her a lot of praise and fans in Tamil Nadu. Many Tamil audiences want her to make her debut in Kollywood.
On the other hand, Pa Ranjith, through his Neelam Productions, has so far delivered only rooted content. If he produces a web series, it is likely to follow the same pattern.
If the buzz turns out to be true, Janhvi Kapoor’s Tamil debut will be in a rooted film rather than a commercial one.
